Anveshi frequently collaborates with various institutions, civil societal groups, and political groups on campaigns, conferences, publications, lobbying and advocacy. Many Anveshi members have served on the Boards and consultative committees of organizations in India and abroad, such as Maison des sciences de l’homme (Paris), Social Science Research Council (New York), National Council for Food Security (India), Mahila Samakhya (India), and National Council for Educational Research and Training (India). Such collaborations signal the reach of Anveshi’s work in ways that have an impact at the national and international levels.

Some of our collaborative work includes:

  • Christian Medical College, Vellore — work towards a book on rethinking medical education for India, 2005-2007
  • CIEFL Film Club, Hyderabad — workshop on ‘Sexuality: Issues and Concerns’ in 2003
  • Dalit organisations in Andhra Pradesh, including Ambedkar Students’ Association, University of Hyderabad, and Bodhi Centre for Dalit Bahujan Initiatives, Hyderabad — protests against the rustication of Dalit students in Hyderabad Central University in 2002
  • Hyderabad Book Trust, Hyderabad — publication of political literature in Telugu
  • Hyderabad Women’s Collective, Hyderabad — organizing the first South Indian Young Feminists Conference ‘Listening Together, Talking Differences’ in 2001
  • Indian Association of Women’s Studies — organising a plenary session for the Ninth National Conference on Women’s Studies in 2000
  • Centre for the Study of Culture and Society, Bangalore — workshop on ‘Telugu Cinema: History, Culture, Theory’ in 1999
  • Osmania University Centre for International Programmes (formerly ASRC), Hyderabad — international symposium on ‘Gender, Law and Citizenship’ in 1999
  • Majlis, Mumbai — campaign against the Uniform Civil Code in 1996
